Suicide attempt
"I survived to graduation from undergrad with depression, anxiety and a recent OCD diagnosis which was all triggered when I wasn’t accepted into a physicians assistant program. After all that time and hard work, I felt lost and I didn’t know what to do with my life which is when I attempted to take it.
Thankfully, I was unsuccessful.
Guppy was a graduation gift to me from my parents. But he was more than just a gift. He helped me discover my love for animals and changed the entire course of my life. Because of Guppy, I decided to change direction and instead, go to vet tech school. I worked in the field and eventually became a veterinarian in the Caribbean with Guppy by my side.
He was there when I moved out on my own for the first time, when I got engaged & married.
He comforts me when I have panic attacks.
He knows when I need space.
He’s my side kick."
