A few weeks ago, I received a heart wrenching last minute request for a session. 15 year old Ace was going to be leaving soon. So his family got together and we spent that Sunday morning, making it all about Ace.

He made his way from one person to the next, snuggling his face right into their hands for all the best neck scratches. We walked his favorite walk and he lifted his leg on everything. Literally everything because "that's what he does". I learned his nickname is Ace-hole which was fitting after hearing some of the stories of his mischief over the past 15 years.

We walked, we raced, we rested, we followed Ace.

"It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them."
