I put a lot of pressure on myself to nail every single one of my sessions. Above and beyond, exceed expectations… there is no other way in my mind. So when Macie reached out with a last-minute request to photograph her eight puppies in my studio before they went to their new homes, I won’t lie, my anxiety levels went up. I was fully anticipating the chaos and the pressure of making eight puppies + mom look their absolute best!
When she first walked into the studio with two crate loads of puppies, I didn’t even believe her that they were in there. Then she opened the crate doors and no one moved. They were all just sitting so calmly inside, quietly observing everything.
Typically, this is the moment puppies go completely bonkers. Sprinting around, chewing anything they can reach, and yes… #1s and #2s everywhere.
But nope. Not these guys.
They explored a little, but their demeanor stayed so chill, just like their sweet mama. We would place them somewhere for a photo, and they would sit there like seasoned professionals on a paid job. Not even a single accident the entire session!
When it came time to be on their best behavior, they absolutely outdid themselves.
